Dsquared^2 Spring 2009 Ready-To-Wear Beauty

The Dsquared^2 Spring 2009 Ready-To-Wear show was inspired by the 1970's TV show Charlie's Angels.

Big flowing hair, golden smokey eyes, contoured cheekbones, and pouty lips are the look.

Eyelash Extensions

For quite some time now I've been meaning to look into eyelash extensions... here are the results of my investigation...

Pictured below are the insane results
from the company Xtreme Lashes.

I've only included their 'natural' looks, but they also have 'eyelighting' and 'xtreme' options available. I personally prefer the natural. However, you can check out their site's photo gallery to view the others.

If you're now as in need of these damn extensions as I am here's a link to find a lash stylist.

... and if you're now wondering "How did they do that?" Press play below.

Mischa

Mischa Barton is stunning in her new Blackbook editorial.
For me the look is reminiscent of the electric
guitar playing models from Robert Palmer's
"Addicted to Love" music video.

P.S. I stole the pictures from Perezhilton.com ...i love you Perez!

Oscars

Yay!...for Greg Cannom winning the Academy Award for Best Makeup with his work for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"!

His work was awe inspiring and he definitely deserved the win. To get more info. on his amazing career check out his 'partial filmography' on wiki.

Now lets talk red carpet makeup!

Lisa Rinna was looking awful. However, maybe it wasn't the makeup artist's fault and just the case of too much plastic surgery? And what did you think of Reese Witherspoon's makeup?

I didn't think too much of it either. I adore her but this was truly disappointing.

My favorites were Evan Rachel Wood, Kate Winslet, Natalie Portman,
Amy Adams, and Marion Cotillard.

I also loved Beyonce's flawless look.  It was a seemingly dramatic play on skin through a less is more approach.

Another look that I liked was Angelina Jolie's black lined eyes. She was stunning as per usual. A few other honorable mentions were Jessica Biel, Diane Lane, and Anne Hathaway.

It was love from the beginning.

One of my oldest memories is being in a drugstore makeup aisle with my mother. I was two or three years old and I can remember loving makeup even then. It brought more thrills to my young mind than any toy or candy ever could. Almost two decades later I am still in love and obsessed with everything makeup. Therefore, I'm turning up the volume with my makeup love affair via the Internet and I'm hoping you'll stay around to listen...

Love,
